Theory and Practical
Each module consists of a theoretical and practical part. Besides the teaching which is given in the modules, there is also a practical participation requirement of the modules, which involves one or more days of placement to gain experience. The attendance and assessment of these experience and internship days will make the participation report. The modules can be completed only after submission of the reports.

Module 1: Horse and teeth
The first module addresses the anatomy of the head and teeth of the horse.  In addition to this, the possible tooth defects and the methods in identifying these are studied. The practical part explains how the head, mouth and teeth can be checked.

Module 2: The bit of the horse
In the second module, the various bits and bridles are discussed. The module looks at which bits to apply to the various disciplines of riding and how these bits function. The rules of various organizations such as the Royal Dutch Equestrian Federation and the FEI are also discussed.

Module 3: Bitfitting
Within this module, a great deal of time is allocated to the actual application of the knowledge that has been gained in the first and second modules. Attention is given to factors such as documentation, communication and body checks.
